Addie: Coffee? Anyone seen it? Very Good beer, FAIR for a stout.
Rodg: FAIR. Goldens could be their own category.
Geoff: If I can’t say the mouth thing, I’m kicking dirt on the beer judge’s shoes. Oh. That’s Rodg. Nevermind.
Bob: Very good beer, but it’s not a stout. So… FAIR.
Full Circle “The Stout Tapes” Cherry 7% abv
Addie: It’s like a Dr. Pepper VERY GOOD.
Rodg: it’s like cheer wine.
Geoff: I smell it and a lot of vanilla. FAIR. Can I try it in a year?
Hi-Wire “10W-40 German Chocolate Cupcake” Imperial 8% abv.
Rodg: GOOD. Stone fruit?
Geoff: GOOD. A little sweet.
Bob: Fruit and chocolate are there, but where is the stout? FAIR.
Oak Park Brewing Company/Peoples Beer “Black and Mellow” Imperial 9.1% abv
Rodg: Uncle Nearest barrels used in the aging process
Geoff: African Queen hops from South Africa.
Bob: GOOD and interesting.
Oak Park Brewing Company Stout Kang Imperial 12.5%
Rodg: Good. I’d like a little more body
Geoff: Good. I’d like a little sweeter. It evolves as it warms.
Bob: GOOD, especially if you like whiskey.
Central Coast Brewing ‘Deep Dark’ Imperial Pastry 13.5% abv
Bob: Comes in waves. Definitely a dessert. VERY GOOD
Rodg: VERY GOOD. A little sweet.
Geoff: VERY GOOD. Mouth-coating.
Bruery ‘Chocolate Churriosity’ Pastry 10.7% abv
Bob: Makes up for Cherry Pie. Very sweet to offset the booze. EXCELLENT.
Rodg: Sweet. Smells great. VERY GOOD.
Geoff: Sweet. I think they nailed what they were going after. VERY GOOD.
