Episode 9: Rogues in portlandia

We didn't run into the Mayor or Spyke, but we ran into some pretty good stouts at Rogue Hall, which, perhaps coincidentally, offers Rogue Ales stouts. Click HERE to hear the squatchy goodness from the Great Northwest.

Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout on draft

Glenn Crim: VERY GOOD. Smooth and creamy...and smooth.

Bob: GOOD. Solid, no aftertaste.

Double Chocolate on draft:

Glenn: FAIR. Too much chocolate. Smells like a chocolate bar.

Bob: VERY GOOD. Delivers what it promises. Not too chocolately, though. Gets smoother as you go.

Hazelutely Choctabulous   Double Chocolate/Hazelnut Brown mixed at the bar

Glenn: EXCELLENT Just enough chocolate.

Bob: VERY GOOD. Nice taste, super balance. Bartender version better than the bottled version, though.

Chocolate bottle

Bob: The free-range coastal water makes this GOOD beer more enjoyable, but it doesn't  solve the bitter question.
