Episode 52: So So Pretty
We’re trying to make into the video realm and that is not without its difficulties. Your meeting platform is now crunching you for time, the local market didn’t have enough to get everyone a can, and some of the talent insist on shots of just the tops of their heads. Being the best damn beer podcast out there isn’t without some difficulties. Just thought we’d share. Perfect metaphor: #thewizardofozwearsnopants. No, wait. That’s not it. Bellhaven “Black” Scottish on Nitro 4.2% abv 10 IBU
Bob: It’s Scottish so it has to be good. Possibly explosive. Little fruity. VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT
Chris: VERY GOOD. Super smooth.
Dan: Oooh. Makes me think. Sweeter than expected. VERY GOOD
Jorge: VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT
Glenn: I’m licking my hand.
Joey: It would be drinkable if I could drink it.
Allagash “North Sky” Belgian-style 7.5% abv 0 IBU
The can tells us squat. Further research reveals Belgian yeast, barley and wheat.
Chris: A hop just knocked me down and stole my truck. No aftertaste though. GOOD for a beer.
Bob: Cleansed palate, dirty palate. What is this? What am I supposed to expect? FAIR/GOOD.
Dan: Belgian yeast is floral. Stout-lovers may not appreciate it. VERY GOOD for a beer.
Joey: It doesn’t seem like a stout. FAIR/GOOD for a beer.
Glenn: I would not order this if I wanted a stout. GOOD though.
Jorge: I’d like to add “not offended” to the Stoutcast scale. GOOD
Evil Twin “Imperial Biscotti Break” 11.5% abv 66 IBU
Glenn: The can promises flopping Italians and delivers. VERY GOOD
Chris: Doesn’t take like my wife’s biscotti. GOOD. Drinkable. Complex.
Dan: VERY GOOD. Was expecting pastry from the name.
Bob: Thick and dark. Lot of good stuff. GOOD. Aftertaste surrounds the good stuff.
Glenn: Unlike that last thing, this is a stout. VERY GOOD
Chris: Confusing. Drinkable. GOOD.
Joey: GOOD, but I’m missing the coffee and the vanilla.
Jorge; VERY GOOD. Balanced. The booze is well hidden.
