EPisode 36: Don’t LEAVE LAS Vegas without a stop at Tenaya Creek First

What happens in Vegas should be exported for others to share in our opinion, but there are problems with that. Head Tenaya Creek brew dude Anthony Gibson tells Bob Moffitt why they’re keeping their suds closer to Mt. Charleston. STILL OPEN FOR PICKUP. Click HERE FOR THE PODCAST, some of the best of Daryl and John, and some offerings from Vista’s Mother Earth Brew Co, not to be confused with the one in North Carolina.

Tenaya Creek “Hauling Oats” Oatmeal 5.7 % abv

Anthony: Milk stout on nitrogen. Creamy.

Bob: The Nitro really makes my dreams come true. When you go to Vegas, your spouse should say “Your wish is on my list” and take you to the brewery. If not then I guess you’ll say, “Say it isn’t so.” Besides EXCELLENT, some things are better left unsaid.

Mother Earth Brew Co “2019 Four Seasons Spring Cherries and Dark Chocolate” Barrel-Aged Imperial 11.6 % abv

Anthony: I’m getting a lot barrel, woody. The flavors don’t overwhelm the beer.

Bob: Aftertaste off-putting. Starts off really good. GOOD/VERY GOOD

Mother Earth “2019 Four Seasons Autumn Cranberries and Graham Cracker” Barrel-Aged Imperial 11.6%

Anthony: Breadiness. Fun. Tart. Could be good with a key lime pie. I like the cranberry more than the cherries.

Bob: Ish. Too much. Too fruity almost to wine so FAIR in that it’s drinkable in a pinch. /GOOD if you dig sour, fruity beer.

Tenaya “Imperial” Imperial 9.0%

Anthony: Roasted barley. carafa malts, low carbonation for a bigger beer is what we do.

Bob: No need for clever names. Straightforward, a little bitter, roasty, very drinkable VERY GOOD. Sarah Smile would’ve been apropos.
