Blaker “Vanilla Bean” Milk 5.5% abv
Keaton: A little different take with lactose from Hilmar Cheese. Good way to introduce hop heads to dark beer. Nine different specialty malts. Took vanilla and made an extract. Not supposed to be pastry-esque
Bob: Smooth to start. Has some bitterness. Didn’t catch the vanilla which is more than fine with me. VERY GOOD
Matt: Light is the new black. Well-balanced. One of my favorites. VERY GOOD
Blaker “Roll Roll Roll Your Oats” Oatmeal 5.9% abv
Keaton: Passion project of Tyler Klaproth. Available only at the tap room.
Bob: Interesting. Very drinkable. A different look at oats GOOD/VERY GOOD
Matt: Light. GOOD
Blaker “Drunchies” Imperial Double Milk 10.9% abv
Keaton: Inspired by the solution to the munchies. boozy, Twix Bar beer. Cacao nibs. Cleared out the store of Lorna Doones to make it Lot of sugar left. Seasonal.
Bob: Fortunately, it doesn’t taste like weed. Really close to a pastry stout. Sweet. Flavorful. The aftertaste. VERY GOOD.
Matt: Syrupy. Too sweet to be drinkable. The stout version of a port. They hit what they were aiming for. FAIR .
Blaker “Barrel Harvest 1 2019” Barrel-Aged Imperial 10.1% abv
Keaton: Lot of love went into this from Tyler. Nighthawk Bourbon Barrels. Only in the tap room.
Bob: Different tastes in waves. Light for a barrel-age, but it’s perfect for the number. EXCELLENT
Matt: Big flavor. What is it? Little fruity? Plummy? Sour? Odd. FAIR.
Blaker “Barrel Harvest 2 Jamaican Rum 2020” Barrel-Aged Imperial 12.2% abv
Keaton: Aged on Jamaican Rum barrels. Extra chest hair will increase your shirt size.
Bob: Wooooooo that’s high octane. Too close to straight hard stuff. GOOD/VERY GOOD for what it promises but it’s not drinkable in anything more than a tiny serving.
Matt: Well balanced. I like the heat and the flavors. VERY GOOD.
Blaker “Barrel Harvest Barrel-Aged Jim Beam” Barrel-Aged Imperial 12.5%
Keaton: Single-barrel, non-blended.
Bob: Prepare to order a small sample. My personal enjoyment: GOOD. VERY GOOD. for what they promise.
Matt: In between the I and the II. Something to like, but that taste again. What is it? GOOD.
